This smudging fan can also be used as a wand, and the natural "thumb spot" allows for very comfortable use of the fan.

The whole fan is 12.5 inches from tip of Lemurian Quartz Crystal to tip of wing. The fan incorporates Starling wings, tail, and feet.

I would happily keep this fan, but it calls for another owner. So off it goes to someone new. Maybe it will be you?

I used a real wood handle that I found along the shores of the Columbia River in Oregon. I then used a sculptable resin compound to attach the gems and then added a small amount of pigment to make the resin look like the wood. The resulting effect has people asking me where I found a stick with gemstones growing out of it.

About the Starling:

European Starlings are traditionally associated with messages from the otherworld, mainly because of their ability to mimic any sound or voice, and the delicate pattern of stars across their heads and backs. Starlings get a bad rap in the United States because they are an "invasive species," meaning they came from Europe and overpopulated the country, driving the local species to endangerment. Apparently, humans don't get a bad reputation for doing this, but birds do.

Fortunately, this means it is legal to sell and possess European Starling taxidermy items in the United States.
